Variety of activities and hobbies

We carefully consider the requests and abilities of all our residents.

We encourage residents to live a full and active life and, as such we offer a full and varied activity programme and events to promote a happy and active lifestyle. We carefully consider the requests and abilities of all our residents to ensure that there really is something for everyone to ensure that they can continue to lead active lives and play fulfilling and meaningful roles within their own communities, to as great or as little extent as they wish. To this end, Fairfield House has an activities team tasked with establishing strong and lasting links with local community groups and resources

Our spacious lounges are perfect for residents to meet with friends and relax, watch television or listen to music. Alternatively, if residents are looking for some quiet time there is a choice of a garden room, a conservatory or gardens all of which are perfect places to unwind.

Activities coordinators play a central role in delivering purposeful activities that stimulate residents and improve their well being. With this in mind are activities team focus on each resident’s individual life story, experiences and interests. Life Stories were initially devised for residents living with dementia, to create a record of the individual’s life, working with the resident and family and loved ones. They proved to be such a useful resource for understanding and engagement that they are now being rolled out to all residents, and their families, who wish to take part.

Also if you enjoy a spot of pampering then you will love our hydrotherapy bath with an eight jet air spa or the in-house salon which provides hairdressing and beauty treatments for all residents.
